Role
Responsible for capturing high-quality video content for various purposes, Manage the entire video production process from planning and shooting to editing and delivering the final product.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Production: collaborate with clients or creative teams to understand the video brief and objectives, scout locations and assess lighting, audio, and visual conditions, prepare equipment and technical setup for shoots (cameras, lighting, audio gear), plan shot lists and storyboards when necessary.
- Production (Filming): Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices during shoots, direct on-camera talent or interview subjects to ensure natural delivery, ensure composition, framing, and movement follow visual standards, monitor audio levels and visual quality during recording, adapt quickly to changes in lighting, setting, or client requests on-site, improvise the script if necessary to adapt to conditions in the field.
- Post-Production: Preview and select usable footage, edit raw footage into a polished final product using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), add graphics, effects, color correction, and sound design as needed, ensure final videos align with branding and storytelling goals.
- Maintain and organize video equipment and storage systems, archive footage and back up projects properly, stay updated on video production trends and technology.
- Work closely with team, and clients, communicate progress and manage feedback during the editing phase, participate in creative discussions to improve video concepts and execution.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communication, or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, Smartphone).
- Strong knowledge of lighting, composition, and sound.
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc).
- Understanding of post-production workflows (color grading, audio mixing, exporting formats).
- Experience with drones or gimbal stabilization (optional but valuable).
- Strong storytelling and visual composition skills.
- Ability to follow a brief and adapt creatively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for directing talent or working with clients.
