Role
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Suitmedia's corporate network infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, security, and high availability to support all company IT operational activities. This role demands strong technical knowledge of network systems and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and planning of efficient and secure corporate network architectures, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and data center connectivity.
- Support the procurement, installation, and configuration of network infrastructure devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and associated company software/hardware.
- Manage network infrastructure configuration and capacity, performing regular maintenance to ensure optimal availability and performance for IT operations and enterprise systems.
- Proactively monitor network system performance and conduct troubleshooting to resolve issues and incidents within the company's IT network and systems.
- Help resolve recurring network incidents to prevent reoccurrence and ensure seamless IT operations.
- Ensure the security and efficiency of IT network infrastructure, implementing and adhering to best practices and policies.
- Contribute to educational and training activities for users regarding network infrastructure to ensure smooth company operations and user understanding.
- Prepare monthly reports detailing network activities, operational explanations, and solutions to encountered issues.
- Potentially manage aspects of physical IT infrastructure like UPS, generators, and PAC systems depending on facility needs.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in network engineering, IT hardware support, or related infrastructure management roles.
- Technical/Hard Skills: Strong working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and network security concepts. Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues. Familiarity with Fiber Optic concepts and splicing is a plus. Understanding of electrical concepts, UPS, generators, and PAC systems, and proficiency in using electrical measuring tools is a plus (relevant for physical infrastructure). Ability to read and understand Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: High integrity and strong communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent problem-solving abilities. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Collaborative and customer-service oriented.
- Bonus Points: Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+). Experience with specific network vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
