Role
You will be a key contributor to Suitmedia's accounting team, responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the company's profitability objectives. This role demands strong accounting expertise and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of changes in equity, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Oversee and process all complex financial transactions in accounting software, ensuring proper categorization and reconciliation.
- Prepare and file all relevant tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax), ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis to management, providing insights into company performance and financial health.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and accounting standards, making recommendations to management on how to adapt and ensure continuous compliance.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, identifying and addressing any deviations.
- Coordinate as needed with external auditors and tax advisors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide expert accounting and tax support to other departments within the organization.
- Participate in special financial projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to process improvements.
Qualification
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with exposure to tax and financial reporting. Experience in a digital agency, tech company, or startup is a plus.
- Technical/Hard Skills: Strong knowledge in Accounting principles, including PSAK-IFRS, budget control, income and expense planning, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zahir, Xero, Jurnal) and excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to take initiative, work under pressure independently or in a team, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bonus Points: Basic tax certification (e.g., Brevet A/B). Experience with a specific financial reporting tool beyond basic accounting software.
