Role
You will play a pivotal role in transforming raw footage into polished, engaging, and impactful video narratives that resonate with audiences and achieve client objectives for Suitmedia's diverse projects. Directly contributing to the final visual storytelling, this role demands a strong understanding of pacing, creative flair, and technical proficiency in post-production within a dynamic agency environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble raw video footage into a coherent, visually appealing, and narratively compelling final product, adhering to project goals and creative direction.
- Meticulously trim footage segments, arrange sequences, and apply seamless transitions to ensure logical flow and optimal pacing for various platforms.
- Enhance video quality through precise color grading, audio mixing, sound design, and the strategic integration of music, dialogues, graphics, and visual effects.
- Collaborate closely with videographers, creative teams, and project managers to understand the project vision, incorporate feedback, and ensure the final video aligns with brand guidelines and storytelling goals.
- Manage and organize all media assets and project files efficiently, ensuring proper archiving and backup procedures.
- Export and optimize final videos in various formats suitable for diverse platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing software, post-production trends, and digital media best practices to continually elevate output.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Degree or certification in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communication, or a related creative field is preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of edited video projects.
- Technical/Hard Skills: Expert proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and storytelling in editing. Familiarity with color grading, audio editing, and basic motion graphics or animation principles.
- Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and a strong creative flair. Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with creative teams and incorporating feedback.
- Bonus Points: Experience with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects). Knowledge of 2D/3D animation software.
Location Preference:
This position is prioritized for our Jakarta office.
