Challenges: How to Make a User-friendly Website with Attractive UI/UX design?
PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk, abbreviated as Bank BTN, is a state-owned enterprise bank responsible for providing financial services to the public to drive economic growth for Indonesians and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Bank BTN is also well-known for its service as the provider of home ownership credit.
Nowadays, users prefer Internet Banking since it is more convenient and accessible through smartphones, laptops, and PCs. As one of the largest banks in Indonesia, Bank BTN already has a website functioning as Internet Banking with detailed features. Nevertheless, the website still needs room for improvement to provide the best banking solution for customers.
Hence, Bank BTN decided to revamp its website, focusing on creating an appealing visual appearance for the user interface, as well as enhancing user experience. Not only did Bank BTN want to revamp its website, but it also wanted to implement a state-of-the-art design following its new logo. Due to its outdated website design, Bank BTN has partnered with Suitmedia to revamp the website to provide an enjoyable digital journey while accessing banking services.
Solutions: Enhancing User Journey by Modernizing UI/UX Design
To make a more appealing website with a better and easier user experience, we decided to redesign the user interface and user experience. Additionally, we enhanced the user journey, information architecture, and visual aspects through comprehensive and deep research, including desk and user research. This step was attended by product owners and BTN customers, ensuring that the new website would surely meet their expectations.
By conducting research aimed at all product owners and collecting samples from several BTN customers, we can obtain the desirable user journey, resulting in a deeper understanding of the banking services provided by Bank BTN. Afterward, choosing the tone for its website is hopefully still in line with the company's rebranding.
Results: An Attractive Website for Better Banking Services
Currently, the website of Bank BTN has implemented UI/UX research from Suitmedia. Also, its visual appearance follows BTN's up-to-date branding guidelines. Besides elevating the UI/UX design, we also added several features, such as information about ESG, the Floating Button, and the Landing Page for each product category. In conclusion, the new website of Bank BTN offers a seamless experience and accessibility despite its complex products and services, resulting in user satisfaction and convenience.
