Challenges: How to Increase Accessibility and Strengthen Company’s Reputation?
Established by Notarial Deed No. 8 dated August 5th, 1996, KPEI serves as a pivotal Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) in the Indonesian capital market, fulfilling the role of Clearing and Guarantee Institution, also known as the Central Counterparty (CCP). With a long-standing commitment to delivering reliable and efficient services, KPEI rebranded to idClear. A comprehensive update on the website was required to introduce a new corporate identity while also reflecting its pivotal role as the Central Counterparty. The improvements aimed to increase accessibility for all stakeholders, enabling them to easily find information about clearing, guarantees, risk management, and regulations.
The previous KPEI website needs to be updated, streamlined, and aligned with the new idClear branding, which creates a risk of inconsistency and confusion for internal stakeholders and the broader market. Additionally, KPEI required a communication platform to support Good Corporate Governance (GCG), transparency, and company branding. Without these improvements, the website would fail to effectively convey KPEI's services and regulations, resulting in a loss of stakeholder trust and hindering transparency and accountability in public communication.
The primary objective of this project was to redesign the website to fully integrate the new idClear branding, delivering a modern, streamlined, and professional digital presence. The revamp was intended to provide easier access for stakeholders while reinforcing KPEI’s reputation as a credible Central Counterparty. Ultimately, the revamped website would serve as an effective communication platform, helping the audience understand KPEI’s strategic roles and functions within Indonesia’s capital market.
Solutions: Revamping Website to Improve its Performance and Security
We focused on adopting semi-headless technology (Laravel) to optimize performance and creating responsive design based on brand guidelines. The interface and menu were specifically redesigned to reflect KPEI’s role as the Central Counterparty, inspired by the global CCP website, and serve as an update to close the gap since the previous update in 2021. Furthermore, we compiled the content in accordance with the GCG standard and added new features. Strengthening the security included in this enhancement, ensuring robust data protection through vulnerability testing and updated protocols.
To improve usability, Suitmedia restructured the interface based on a deep analysis of the current website's structure and the project’s requirements. PHP Laravel was selected due to its Long Term Support (LTS) and high-security standards, ensuring the website is secure and scalable for future development. By leveraging PHP Laravel’s semi-headless architecture and pre-built components, Suitmedia was able to accelerate development while maintaining a high level of security and performance.
This project had a unique aspect, as seen from its simple design and user-friendly interface, which made it easier for visitors to navigate and access relevant information. Load times were significantly faster than before, allowing visitors to find information in seconds. Additionally, the new website effectively reflected the new brand identity of KPEI, presenting a more modern and trustworthy image in Indonesia's capital market.
Results: Better Website Performance and Functionality
Suitmedia's partnership with KPEI/idClear led to significant improvements in the performance and functionality of their website. More intuitive navigation and upgraded features definitely improved the user experience. Additionally, the content aligns with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) standards, reinforcing KPEI’s reputation as a credible Central Counterparty in Indonesia. We achieved impressive results, as evidenced by a Grade A for website performance, an average load time of 2.6 seconds, and an A- for SEO.
