Challenges: Revamping KPEI Digital Identity with a Modernized Website
Established by Notarial Deed No. 8 dated August 5th, 1996, KPEI serves as a pivotal Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) in the Indonesian capital market, fulfilling the role of Clearing and Guarantee Institution, also known as the Central Counterparty (CCP). With a long-standing commitment to delivering reliable and efficient services, KPEI recently rebranded to idClear. This transformation requires a comprehensive update to its digital assets, particularly its website, to reflect the new corporate identity and support its evolving role in the capital market.
The previous KPEI website needs to be updated, cluttered, and aligned with the new idClear branding, creating a risk of inconsistency and confusion for internal stakeholders and the broader market. Without timely updates, the website will fail to effectively introduce the rebranded idClear identity, limiting the company’s ability to communicate its new services and initiatives. Additionally, the website’s outdated infrastructure results in slow performance and a suboptimal user experience, which could hinder the company’s ability to meet market demands and regulatory expectations.
The primary objective of this project is to redesign the website to fully integrate the new idClear branding, delivering a modern, streamlined, and professional digital presence. The revamp will enhance user experience through improved navigation, faster load times, and the adoption of advanced web technologies. Additionally, the updated website will serve as a key platform to communicate idClear's services, support its business processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Solutions: Empowering Users with a Simplified and Secure idClear Website
To enhance the user experience of the KPEI website and provide clear, accessible information, our strategy focused on organizing existing content into intuitive categories such as KPEI services, regulations, statistics, and membership details. This structure ensures users can quickly find the information they need, while the clutter-free and modern design promotes ease of navigation. Additionally, the website for members was designed to mirror the corporate website’s look, allowing users to manage groups, companies, and partners, and access specific applications effortlessly. These improvements aim to streamline the overall user journey while increasing public awareness of KPEI’s services.
Suitmedia used a thorough strategy, starting from scratch and utilizing PHP Laravel and semi-headless technologies to create the website. This choice was based on an analysis of the existing website’s structure and the project’s requirements. PHP Laravel was selected due to its Long Term Support (LTS) and high-security standards, ensuring the website is secure and scalable for future development. The new UI/UX was designed to be fully responsive and align with idClear's new brand guidelines, offering users a smoother and faster browsing experience. The system’s security was tested, with all vulnerabilities addressed to ensure compliance with industry standards.
The unique value of this project lies in its seamless blend of modern aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. The redesigned website not only aligns with idClear's new branding but also offers a simplified and user-friendly interface, making it easier for visitors to navigate and access relevant information. Leveraging PHP Laravel’s semi-headless architecture and pre-built components, Suitmedia was able to accelerate development while maintaining a high level of security and performance. The integration of social media sharing features further amplifies the website’s reach, helping to boost awareness of idClear’s services across broader audiences.
Results: Driving Digital Transformation and Operational Efficiency
Suitmedia's partnership with KPEI/idClear resulted in significant improvements to the performance and functionality of their website. One of the most notable achievements was reducing the time to interact from 31.9 seconds to just 1.9 seconds, vastly enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. These performance upgrades not only simplified daily business operations for KPEI's users but also made system maintenance and troubleshooting more manageable. The website revamp allowed KPEI to present a modern and user-friendly interface while ensuring the site’s speed and reliability, helping to strengthen its digital presence.
As a result, Sicily Sari Dewi from KPEI expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the website revamp. She highlighted that the improved system performance has simplified operational activities and made troubleshooting easier, contributing to the overall efficiency of KPEI’s business processes by enhancing application performance, system utilization, and availability. She rated Suitmedia's services highly, with a recommendation score of 9, and suggested further enhancements, such as more proactive health check scheduling and detailed reporting on application issues previously reported by KPEI, which could be consolidated into the quarterly maintenance report.
