Challenges: How to Simplify Credit Card Management through a Mobile App? 

AEON Credit Card is a VISA credit card issued by AEON Credit Service Indonesia, a consumer financing company. As digital financial services continue to evolve, AEON Credit Service Indonesia recognized the importance of developing a state-of-the-art and user-friendly application. The application would enable users to manage their credit cards, including monitoring transactions, accessing billing information, and enjoying exclusive promotions, all through mobile devices.

The previous application, namely AEON Fast, had limited functionality and did not fully meet the needs of credit card users. Its primary function was to provide consumer financing services, but the application lacked the capability for users to manage credit cards digitally. In other words, they were required to visit the nearest office to apply for credit cards. Additionally, some negative comments were left on the reviews, complaining about the application, the company’s services, and its policies. They mentioned several aspects that needed improvement, including non-functional features, internet issues, poor user experience, and user interface problems.

Hence, the primary objective of this project was to revamp the AEON Card mobile app by creating a more user-friendly and relevant digital platform for users. The revamp focused on simplifying the user journey, updating the design, and introducing a feature that enables users to apply for and manage their credit card digitally. By addressing these challenges, AEON Credit Service Indonesia aimed to deliver a more seamless, practical, and integrated credit card service for its customers.  

Solutions: Enhancing Functionality for Better User Experience

Our strategy incorporated significant improvements for the design by establishing a clearer information architecture, which was illustrated through a mobile navigation map. Also, we planned to update the design, layout, and visual elements to deliver an intuitive, enjoyable, and engaging experience for users. The features were developed and tailored to meet user needs, creating an easier and more comfortable experience for users.

Moreover, the development of the AEON Credit Card App for iOS began with a thorough analysis of the user journey and the creation of a prototype using Figma, ensuring that the app’s structure and navigation were intuitive. The frontend development implemented a modular approach using SwiftUI to ensure manageable interface components for future development. After development, we conducted functional and device compatibility testing through TestFlight before launching the application on the App Store.

The AEON Credit Card on iOS offered an integrated solution, combining consumer financing services and credit card management within a single platform. Designed with a SwiftUI interface, the application had better performance and ease of use. In addition, in-app features allowed users to apply for cards using eKTP, manage transactions easily, and access reward systems, resulting in a more efficient and intuitive experience.

Results: A User-Centered Application that Integrated Consumer Financing and Credit Card Services

Suitmedia successfully assisted AEON Credit Service Indonesia in developing the AEON Card application for iOS, presenting a modern, intuitive, and user-centered digital platform. As a result, the new application provides customers with the convenience of accessing various AEON services, including credit card management and consumer financing, on a secure and efficient digital platform.
