Challenges: Building a Unified Healthcare by Merging Websites and Mobile Apps
EMC Hospital and Grha Kedoya, a leading private healthcare facility under the EMTEK Group, has a history of collaborating with Suitmedia to enhance its digital services. In addition, both EMC Hospital and Grha Kedoya Hospital had previously partnered with Suitmedia to create individual websites and mobile apps tailored to their needs. Following a recent merger between the two hospitals, there was a need to consolidate their digital platforms to ensure a more unified experience. By transferring some of the website and mobile app functions from Grha Kedoya Hospital to EMC Hospital, the group aimed to streamline operations and create a cohesive digital presence for the newly merged entity.
With both hospitals continuing to operate separate websites and mobile apps, inconsistencies in feature functionality arose. These inconsistencies risked confusing users and weakening the overall brand identity. Without a unified platform, patients could face difficulties navigating the different services, leading to a fragmented user experience that could diminish trust in the hospital's services.
The primary goal of this project is to merge the websites and mobile apps of Grha Kedoya Hospital and EMC Hospital into a single platform. This will ensure a seamless and consistent brand identity across all digital touchpoints. Additionally, the unified platform aims to provide an improved, user-friendly experience for patients, while simplifying the operational management of the hospitals' online services.
Solutions: Unifying Features and Functionality of Grha Kedoya and EMC Hospital’s Online Platforms
Suitmedia's approach to addressing the challenges faced by Grha Kedoya Hospital and EMC Hospital involved conducting an in-depth analysis of the existing features and user journey of both digital platforms. Based on these insights, Suitmedia provided recommendations on which features and design elements should be retained or replaced to create a seamless user experience. The strategy focused on aligning the features of Grha Kedoya Hospital with EMC Hospital’s existing platform, ensuring consistency in functionality and a cohesive user journey across both the website and mobile app.
The implementation process began with integrating the key functions from the Grha Kedoya Hospital’s platform into EMC Hospital’s system. This included changes such as updating the login and telehealth appointment functions to align with EMC's standards, adding pop-ups to redirect users from the Grha Kedoya website and app to the EMC platform, and updating the "Our Hospitals," "Specialty Centers," and "Our Doctors" menus. Additionally, the team incorporated new submenus in the Articles section and added a "Make a Visit Appointment" CTA in the Promo menu, all tailored to EMC’s design and functionality. Suitmedia utilized agile methodologies and cutting-edge web and mobile development tools to ensure a smooth transition.
The unique aspect of this project lies in its seamless integration of multiple functions from both hospitals' websites and mobile apps into a unified platform. By tailoring the login, telehealth appointments, hospital directories, and doctor listings to match EMC Hospital's established features, Suitmedia ensured consistency and ease of use for patients. The addition of new submenus and appointment CTAs further enhanced the user experience, positioning the integrated platform as a streamlined, efficient solution that meets the needs of both Grha Kedoya and EMC Hospital.
