Challenges: How to Make an Intuitive Website that Can Lower Bounce Rate Effectively?
Semen Merah Putih is a cement brand managed by PT Cemindo Gemilang, which specializes in manufacturing bulk cement, concrete cement, and Portland Composite Cement (PCC). Established in 2011, the company has become one of the paramount cement producers, known for its premium quality and state-of-the-art factories. Recognizing the importance of user-friendliness, the company decided to revamp its website. Hence, the aim was to develop a user-friendly website displaying more products, including detailed information and construction solutions.
Before deciding on the website revamp, PT Cemindo Gemilang faced challenges with its existing website since it had high bounce rates that needed to be reduced. In other words, this issue indicated that the website page was irrelevant and confusing to visitors. They only landed on a web page without visiting any other page. In addition, the lack of user-friendliness in terms of UI/UX was also a key issue since customers have difficulties accessing the product information. By undertaking a website revamp, the company intended to enhance both technology capabilities and user experience.
Hence, the primary objectives of this project were to implement advanced technology solutions and improve UI/UX design. It would provide easier access to product information, helping users find various Semen Merah Putih products. By implementing user-centered design and leveraging cutting-edge technology, the company could reduce bounce rate significantly and ultimately enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty.
Solutions: Creating Attractive Visuals and Easy Website Navigation Emphasizing Simplicity
Our strategy focused on developing a visually appealing website designed to enhance user experience and effectively showcase the products of Semen Merah Putih. We aimed to develop a user-friendly interface that would not only provide complete information about the product, but also categorize the types of products. Moreover, this strategy would enhance navigation, enabling users to quickly find specific information related to products. By prioritizing user-centric navigation, we provided a seamless experience that encouraged users to explore more on Semen Merah Putih.
Building a website with an intuitive user interface (UI) and content management system (CMS) was our initiative for this project. As a result, the new website allowed users to understand the product categories and applications easily. Since the primary target audience was intermediaries such as builders, architects, and building consultants who required detailed product knowledge, an accessible website with comprehensive navigation and information was suitable for their needs.
This project had a unique aspect, particularly in its focus on facilitating the decision-making process for intermediaries as the target audience. By providing detailed information on each product, including its specifications and benefits, the new website could assist them in selecting the best cement product tailored to their construction needs. Also, we strategically highlighted essential information organized into several categories, including specific applications for residential and industrial buildings, large-scale constructions and manufacturing, and many more.
Results: A Website with Improved UI/UX and Well-Organized Categorization for Reducing Bounce Rate
We successfully developed a new website for Semen Merah Putih, highlighting a modern and user-friendly interface that improves user experience. The revamped version ensured seamless navigation, allowing users to quickly and easily find product information related to their needs. To sum up, the collaboration between Suitmedia and PT Cemindo Gemilang resulted in improved UI/UX and well-organized categorization of its products, reflecting the commitment of PT Cemindo Gemilang to excellence in the building material industry.
